Material goods and/or concepts associated with wealth and high social status, as well as general Hip Hop culture colloquialism and catch phrases, are becoming so eponymous to hip hop artists’ professional handles, that I’m beginning to have trouble distinguishing the artist’s name from their song titles (if both are listed together ambiguously).

An example: my radio marquees the radio-station, the artist’s name and song title of the current song playing in my car.  A new hip hop song came on, one that I enjoyed, yet I couldn’t tell the name of the artist from the song title.  It was a cluster fuck of words that could of been one or the other.

Haha, this is an example of, as Chris Rock stated in his most recent stand-up, why modern day Hip Hop (mainstream) is getting so difficult to defend to neigh-sayers and critics :D

I still love Hip Hop though.
